Spring Mill Manor Wedding

Tracy and Anthony’s sun drenched Spring Mill Manor wedding was an absolute joy to be part of.  We met Tracy and Anthony through our favorite method, word of mouth referrals!  I photographed one of her closest friends several years ago for a large national company.  She loved her photos, but wasn’t crazy about  working with a “big box” studio.   She referred several of her bridesmaids to us at Black, White and Raw.  We’ve now photographed 6 weddings from this particular group of friends, and each one has been a great experience.

Tracy and Anthony’s snowy engagement shoot at the Museum of Art was one of my all time favorites. The two are so natural with each other, so funny and considerate.  I couldn’t wait for their wedding at The Spring Mill Manor.  It was a perfect day, filled with the most gracious bride and groom, their loving families, and their incredible group of friends.   I’ve included way too many bridal party photos, but when you’ve photographed so many of their weddings…well, I couldn’t help myself!

Bride and Groom Prep

The couple got ready at family homes in Philly near each other.  Tracy’s gown from L&H Bridal was absolutely stunning and perfect on her, with a cathedral veil that was perfect.  I loved that Anthony changed into a white dinner jacket for the reception.  Tracy did a first look with her dad and her bridal party before we left for the church.  I love her bridal portraits!

St Christopher Church

I think I’ve lost track of how many weddings we’ve photographed at St Christopher’s Church in Philadelphia.  They are always so warm and welcoming, which makes returning a joy. The church is bright and the families all seem to be very close. It’s a wonderful place to photograph a Catholic ceremony.

Spring Mills Manor

Special shout out to Spring Mills Manor! This amazing Bucks County wedding venue was is always a pleasure to work at.  The management is totally communicative and the staff bends over backwards to help you.  The grounds are always beautiful, and they feed us at the same time as bride and groom so we can jump up and get back to work as soon as they’re finished. But the biggest thing they did? THEY FOUND A VERY EXPENSIVE LENS I LEFT OUTSIDE AT NIGHT. I didn’t notice for 2 weeks. Someone had not only found it, but kept it nice and safe until I realized it and called. Absolutely unbelievable.

Bride and Groom Portraits

Sunset bride and groom portraits are something most couples would love to have, but it’s not always a perfect day with perfect light. Sunset at Spring Mill Manor is gorgeous and Tracy planned her day perfectly so we could take advantage of it. I just love these.

Bridal Party

The wine colored bridesmaids dresses were some of my favorites of the season.  This is such a close group of friends, Tracy and Anthony couldn’t imagine leaving any of them out. Wedding parties of 24 can be a total nightmare, but this group is so much fun (not to mention REALLY experienced in weddings) that they’re a breeze to photograph.

Reception

With touches of pink and gold, the wedding decor was elegant and pretty.  Family cried, friends celebrated, the venue was amazing.  And did I mention they found my 24-70mm? Absolutely perfect.

  1. Such a beautiful wedding! And those details beautifully photographed by Black White and Raw Photography. What a gorgeous wedding venue. Spring Mill Manor is a dream place to get married.

  2. This bride’s wedding dress is a dream! I love how it flows and she seems so happy and comfortable in it. Beautiful photography as always at this St. Christophers church wedding! The ballroom reception at Spring Hill Manor is perfectly lit and photographed.

  3. Wow. Those entrance and zoomed in back lit first dance shots?? Nailed reception photography. Catching a great photo of a bride and groom in a real time action dip is no small feat! Love how you captured golden hour wedding portraits at Spring Mill Manor for this couple. Black White and Raw is always producing the best wedding photography in Philly!
