Beautiful Indian Wedding at the Merion

Swee-93

I absolutely adore photographing beautiful Indian weddings.  For Swee and Gigio’s stunning marriage, I was fortunate to work with Jay Bryant Photography.  It’s always a real joy to work with photographers whom I respect and who have been doing this much longer than I have.

Indian weddings have the most beautiful traditions of any culture that I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph.  I began with the couple for their Mehendi/Sangeet at the Cherry Hill Crown Plaza. It was an evening rich with bridal party henna, casino games and a traditional candle lighting ceremony, and continuing the following day at The Merion. With wedding ceremonies celebrating 2 different cultures, 4 gorgeous bridal dresses and beautiful details, colors and jewelery everywhere, I was in love.  Swee was absolutely gracious and lovely and moved through her day with elegance and joy.   I love the classic photojournalism that is the core of photographing bustling Indian weddings, and I am immensely grateful to have been part of such beautiful, tradition filled and stunningly wonderful 2 days.

  2. Black White and Raw did it again. This is just spectacular, spectacular wedding photography. I don’t even know where to begin to describe how much I love the photos in this piece.
Lori, the lighting in these photos, especially from the first part of this couple’s celebration, make me drool. They’re so good!
I especially love the way you photographed the cake and details. You gave each frame a spirit and it really, really stands out.
Absolutely phenomenal work as always. 🙂
