Double Elopement and Philly Photo Walk

Some days just make you feel honored to be allowed to document the biggest moment of a couple’s love story.  On a beautiful spring day we were fortunate enough to be with 2 couples on their big day, with a double elopement and Philly photo walk.  Two same sex couples, met in a beautiful little park for a lovely ceremony officiated by a friend on a hidden path with dappled sunlight filtering through the trees.  From there we went on a photo walk in Philly, stopping along the way at various locations that included Race Street Pier, a quaint little cobblestone street and some beautiful urban decay that we always adore.  It was everything that we love, and I cannot thank our foursome enough for allowing us the privilege of being a part of it.  Humbled and grateful, and loving our life.

  1. Wow Lori. These are so, so great.
What I love about these photos is you literally could swap any member of the foursome with any other member and the pictures would work as traditional wedding photos yet, at the same time, you captured the individual spirit of both of these SSM couples in a way that’s totally modern and beautiful.
I find it hard to document SSM couples in a “classic way” pose wise but I love the challenge and it’s blogs like this that show way.
    Great, great job. 🙂

  2. Beautiful work, Lori! I feel lile I get the full tour of Philadelphia with your gorgeous photo photo shoot! And two beautiful same sex couples eloping makes this wedding photography twice as nice!

  3. You have such a great eye Lori! Especially love the shot of both couples staggered along the stairs. And the double ceremony through the trees felt like you brought us into their special moment. Your wedding photography stands out!
