Rustic Romance in New Hope

I knew when I photographed Megan and Ben’s engagement shoot in New Hope, Pa that their wedding in the same area was going to be a dream to shoot.  So on a chilly day in March, we met for a perfectly relaxed stroll, a wonderful pre-cursor to their idyllic summer wedding.

Nestled in Historic Bucks County, Holly Hedge Estate is a family run estate dedicated to the preservation of the rustic elegance of this 18th Century farm and estate. Megan’s natural beauty shone in a romantic strapless gown, and the two were married surrounded by family and friends on the estate’s old barn steps with a sweet wine box ceremony.  The periwinkle blue bridesmaid dresses were perfect against the backdrop of old stonework, and the bridal suite a lovely, intimate setting for our bride who was determined not to let Ben see her until she walked alone across the courtyard to become his wife.  Despite the brutal heat, Megan and Ben stuck it out for a few stunning photos around the estate, and then quickly dashed off to be alone before their reception. And as much as I would have killed to photograph them every spare minute that they had, I love that they decided to steal away to be alone on their day.  So congratulations Megan and Ben!  Your wedding was a true joy to be part of.
