Pink and Gold Elegance in Beach Haven

ChelseaKevinBWR-81Every now and then you get to spend the day with a bride who seems to have been born to plan events.  Chelsea and Kevin’s Parisian inspired wedding reception at a renovated Victorian Beach house at 101 Centre Street  was beachy sophistication at it’s best.  We did their engagement shoot on the beach there and it was obvious how special the area was to them.

The house was buzzing with activity when I arrived.  Gorgeous wood walls and stained glass with plenty of rooms for bridal party preparations, brides maids in the palest blush pink dresses, and the air filled with the scent of pink peonies from David Hamilton, who leads a horticulture program at Garfield Park Academy. We were able to walk to St. Thomas Aquinas Church, for a sweet ceremony, and then back to the house for photos and cocktail hour.

Chelsea’s details were pure, simple elegance.  Her effortless, champagne lace dress from Dress – Watters Too (Wtoo), tables covered in lace with simple centerpieces of gold rimmed mirrors with wine corks and pretty signage throughout the property in gold frames.  Pink cotton candy bags as take home favors and DJ Ron Milke of MIKRON Productions was perfect.

Thank you Chelsea and Kevin, for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day.

  2. 101 Centre Street looks like it offers Victorian elegance, but with the added bonus of having the beach nearby. You did a beautiful job capturing some really great moments, and I love how you staged everyone for portraits!

  3. I tried to pick a favorite part of this beautiful Beach Haven wedding. The detail shots, the fun wedding party poses, the candid portraits… All amazing work! The Victorian Beach house at 101 Centre Street was just a perfect wedding venue.
