Yes, Industrial Chic weddings are a thing and they’re awesome. Lately we’ve had several in a row. Big, cool, loft like spaces with exposed brick and lighting fixtures you wish you’d thought of yourself. Paired with a classic couple and an elegant event, it’s really a gift for wedding photographers, especially those who pride themselves on a love of all things urban and non-traditional.
After Michele and Matthew’s ceremony near their home in NJ, we headed into Philly for their reception at The Tendenza. Although the rain threatened to ruin our plans for shooting on Broad Street, Michele braved some pretty yucky conditions for what are some of my favorite Broad Street Shots to date. The moisture in the air made back lighting her veil a perfect choice, and the reflections in the street are just beautiful.
At The Tendenza, their famous upside down chandelier cake was a huge hit, and it’s always a treat to work when The Business is the band for the evening. And just in case the incredible food, upside down cake and beautiful flambe dessert table wasn’t for anyone, The Wahlburgers Food Truck was outside for a quick burger to take home. And yes, industrial chic brides can totally devour a burger after dancing all night.

The Tendenza looks like an amazing venue to have a wedding in Philadelphia! I love the Wahlburger food truck! How fun!
You captured their Industrial Chic wedding perfectly. What a great story you told of their downtown Philadelphia, PA wedding.
I absolutely love the images from this industrial chic wedding. The Tendenza provided the perfect backdrop and amazing upside chandelier cake. What a stunning downtown Philadelphia wedding with stellar broad street photos!
Lori, these photos are breathtaking.
I know I say I love your work anytime I see it but this blew me away. I absolutely love the ring shots you got early in this collection and the purple light you used to color it all (whether that was you or nature) was an incredible touch.
These photos had an almost cinematography look to them and I am in awe at how amazing they all look.
I feel like a young Jedi watching Yoda do his thing. Teach me your ways. 🙂
This wedding is incredible!!! Sounds right up my alley with that Wahlburgers truck at the end of the wedding night! Their exit from the ceremony is so classic, and the downtown wedding portraits on Broad Street are phenomenal as always. The Tendenza is a stunning Philly wedding venue. I really love this epic industrial chic wedding by Black White and Raw Photography!
