Longwood Gardens Engagement Shoot
There’s always something special about a Longwood Gardens engagement shoot. It’s one of my favorite spots for couples who love nature and want to honor the season. Longwood Gardens is spectacular any time of year, and I’m pretty sure I’ve photographed them all. Every single shoot I’ve done there becomes one of my favorites. It’s one of the prettiest spots I know that has both indoor and outdoor options, which is great in case of rain, or the cold of winter. For Rebecca and Donny’s summer engagement shoot, the green house was a cool relief from the heat.
This Longwood Gardens engagement was special in that Rebecca and Donny are living in different states while he does his medical residency in Atlanta. They are so wonderfully in love and such a joy to be with, our 90 minutes together felt more like a great walk with friends. I’ve had several couples bring their children for a few family photos, and Rebecca’s daughter was a real champ for a kid who would rather be out playing sports than tagging around on a photo shoot.
Pro Tip: The Longwood Gardens staff is incredibly helpful when it comes to keeping an extra outfit at the guest services desk, and the restrooms are large and convenient. Consider bringing an outfit change to give more variety. I love that Rebecca and Donny did a fun summer look and more elegant formal wear.
I absolutely can’t wait to photograph their wedding!

Longwood Gardens looks like an amazing place for engagement photos! Everything looks so lush in the greenhouse, and so beautifully formal on the grounds! I think the couple chose their outfits perfectly. You really got a great variety of shots in that session and of course the couple looks great! Wonderful job!

That’s great that Longwood Gardens has such beautiful indoor and outdoor options especially for an engagement session, if it’s raining or super hot.
